The Miss Dixie Geam Peach Pageant—an official preliminary to Miss Louisiana and Miss America—provides young women between the ages of 18-24 the opportunity to promote their voices in culture, politics and the community while earning valuable scholarships. The Miss America Organization is the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women and one of the nation's leading achievement programs. Contestants compete in interview, talent, evening wear, and physical fitness in swimwear.
The Miss Spirit of Ruston Outstanding Teen Pageant—an official preliminary to Miss Teen Louisiana and Miss America's Outstanding Teen—provides young women between the ages of 13-17 the opportunity to promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens. Contestants complete in interview, talent, evening wear, and physical fitness in aerobic wear.
The 2011 Miss Dixie Gem Peach /Miss Dixie Gem Peach Outstanding Teen and Princess Peach pageant will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Dixie Center for the Arts in Ruston.
